Solingen’s FDP welcomes two fresh faces ahead of 2025 local elections
The Free Democrats (FDP) in Solingen have reshaped their council team ahead of the 2025 local elections. Two new members, Nina Brattig and Dario Dzamastagic, have joined the faction after winning seats in the recent vote. Both bring fresh perspectives, though neither has held political office before.
Brattig and Dzamastagic were elected to the Solingen council for the first time in the 2025 local elections. Before entering politics, Brattig worked in the department of education, while Dzamastagic practised law. Both had been active in the local FDP branch but had no prior political mandates.
The FDP now has a renewed presence in Solingen’s council. With two new members and a clear focus on education, local economy, and digitalisation, the faction intends to play an active role in local decision-making. Their strategy centres on direct dialogue with the city’s stakeholders and a problem-solving approach.
