Solingen’s *Omas gegen Rechts* Wins 2025 Silver Shoe Award for Activism
The Solingen branch of Omas gegen Rechts (Grandmas Against the Far Right) will receive the 2025 Silver Shoe Award on December 8. The ceremony takes place at 4:00 PM at the Vogelsang School Center. The group is being honoured for its work promoting minority rights, respect, and diversity in the city.
City Director Dagmar Becker will present the award to the local activists. Their campaigns have focused on combating far-right ideology while fostering social cohesion. The Silver Shoe Award highlights their long-standing efforts in Solingen.
