SOS Austria Welcomes Carolin Porcham as New MD Amidst Abuse Scandal
SOS Children’s Villages Austria welcomes Carolin Porcham as its third managing director, effective November 3, 2025. Her arrival coincides with an independent review and organizational restructuring following serious abuse allegations against the charity's founder and staff.
Porcham succeeds Christian Moser, who was placed on leave in October 2025 amidst the abuse scandal. She joins Annemarie Schlack and Nora Deinhammer in the leadership team, aiming to firmly establish changes, lead the organization with stability, and continue rebuilding trust.
Porcham's appointment follows a recruitment process that began in June 2025. Her role will involve taking over Moser's responsibilities, guiding the charity through this challenging period, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the children.
Carolin Porcham brings her expertise to SOS Children’s Villages Austria at a critical time. Her focus on stability and trust rebuilding will be vital as the organization works to address past issues and move forward.
