South Korea’s President Strengthens AI and Economic Ties in Egypt Visit

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung is on an official visit to Egypt, where he will outline new Middle East initiatives. During his trip, he delivered a keynote speech at Cairo University and met with local Korean residents. His agenda also includes high-level talks with Egyptian leaders and business discussions on AI cooperation with the UAE.

On 20 November, Lee Jae Myung addressed students and faculty at Cairo University. His speech, recorded by attending students, focused on strengthening ties between South Korea and the region. The following day, he gathered with the Korean community in Egypt, discussing their experiences and contributions.

The visit marks a push for deeper cooperation between South Korea and Egypt. Lee’s proposals on AI and economic growth aim to create long-term partnerships. His meetings with officials and the Korean diaspora signal a commitment to expanding relations in the Middle East.
