SP Kloten Fields Strong 19-Candidate List for April 12 Elections
The Social Democratic Party (SP) Kloten has geared up for the municipal council elections on April 12, 2026, with a strong list of 19 candidates. President Max Töpfer expresses enthusiasm about the election campaign.
The party has nominated a diverse range of candidates, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to the table. Among them are nurse Verena Fessler, architect Raffael Gaus, HR specialist Belma Pasić, administrative clerk Eljma Ameti, lawyer Olivia Zurlinden, and attorney Elias Ritzi. Belma Pasić will serve on the social security commission, while Loes Hirzel seeks another term on the citizenship commission. Christoph Fischbach is nominated for another term on the city council.
The SP Kloten candidates share a common vision of making Kloten more social, sustainable, and inclusive. They prioritise improving work-life balance and protecting the climate. Rising rents and affordable housing are also key issues they aim to address. Eljma Ameti has been nominated to defend Thomas Graf’s seat on the school board. The list is led by incumbent council members Sigi Sommer, Max Töpfer, Anita Egg, Philip Graf, and Maja Hiltebrand.
