SPD's Youthful Lineup Leads Wiesbaden Election Bid
The SPD in Wiesbaden is making waves with a youthful lineup for the upcoming local elections. Seven members of the Jusos, the youth wing of the SPD, have secured top spots on the party's list, led by co-chair Anou Kaiser who advocates for quality childcare, schools, and late-night mobility.
Kaiser is joined by fellow Jusos Halil Siabanoglou, Catherina Koch, and Kerstin Matthes in the top 20 of the SPD list. Marius Becker, another Juso candidate, has secured the fifth spot, highlighting the party's commitment to affordable housing, reliable public transport, strong schools, and climate-resilient infrastructure. The SPD list is headed by Silas Gottwald, with Becker and Silvana Sand following, reflecting a new generation's energy and influence in the party.
The Jusos, under the co-chairmanship of Carl Gibis, are campaigning on a platform that supports a city where young people can thrive. They aim to demonstrate that politics can deliver tangible results and bridge the gap between those who contribute and those who bear the burden.
With seven Jusos in the top 20 of the SPD list, the youth wing is proving that young voices can take responsibility and shape the city's politics. Led by Kaiser and Becker, the Jusos are advocating for a city that prioritizes quality childcare, schools, affordable housing, and sustainable infrastructure, reflecting the needs and aspirations of Wiesbaden's younger generation.
