SPIE’s Independent Director Trudy Schoolenberg Steps Down After Four Years
Trudy Schoolenberg will leave her role as an independent director on the SPIE board at the end of 2025. She joined the company’s leadership in late 2021 and contributed actively over four years. Her departure comes as the board prepares for a shift in its composition next January. Schoolenberg first became part of SPIE’s Board of Directors in November 2021. Her appointment was formally approved by shareholders at the General Meeting on 11 May 2022. Throughout her tenure, she took on responsibilities within the CSR & Governance committee. With Schoolenberg’s departure, the board will adjust to a new structure in the new year. The company has not revealed who will fill her position as an independent director. Her contributions to governance and corporate social responsibility will conclude after more than four years of service.
