Srimanta Sankardev Sangha’s 95th Session Kicks Off with Traditional Lai Khuta Erection
The 95th session of the Srimanta Sankardev Sangha is set to take place from February 6 to 8, 2026, at Jyoti-Bishnu Khetra in Dhalaibil. The event's main attraction, the lai khuta, will be erected on November 16, 2025.
The reception committee of Sankardev Sangga recently met with Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the minister who will play a significant role in the event's organisation. The lai khuta, the main tent, and other allied tents will be constructed using traditional thatch materials, adding a touch of authenticity to the proceedings.
The lai khuta erection on November 16, 2025, marks the beginning of preparations for the 95th session of the Srimanta Sankardev Sangha. The event promises to be a significant cultural gathering, with the minister's involvement and traditional tenting adding to its uniqueness.
