St. Ingbert Welcomes Its First Greek Food Truck Run by Siblings

A new Greek food truck has arrived in St. Ingbert, bringing authentic flavors to Saarland. Leonidas Souvlaki opened outside the city hall on 20 November 2025, run by siblings Sofia and Leonidas Velia. The pair chose the location after receiving strong support from the local administration.

Sofia, 22, and Leonidas, 29, launched the business with help from their mother, Vana. Their truck is the only one in Saarland serving Greek street food, with pita wraps, gyros platters, and fresh sides on the menu. The family wanted to offer honest, affordable dishes made with quality ingredients.

Leonidas Souvlaki now stands as the region’s only Greek food truck. The Velia family plans to keep serving fresh, traditional dishes to customers in St. Ingbert. Their presence adds a new option for street food lovers in Saarland.
