Star Singers launch 2026 campaign against child labor with a bold message

The 2026 Epiphany Campaign has launched under the slogan 'School, Not Factories – Star Singers Against Child Labor'. Organised by The Star Singers and the Federation of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ), the initiative aims to highlight global child labour while raising funds for vulnerable children worldwide. No other group has been identified as running a similar campaign in Germany this year.

On January 12, 2026, Premier Winfried Kretschmann welcomed around 40 children and teenagers at Villa Reitzenstein in Stuttgart. The group consisted of eight Star Singer delegations visiting the State Ministry as part of the annual tradition.

The campaign holds the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) Donation Seal, ensuring transparency in fundraising. In 2025, Star Singers in Baden-Württemberg collected €9.6 million, with the region’s two dioceses leading national contributions. This year’s focus remains on combating child exploitation by promoting education over forced labour. Donations will support projects addressing poverty and access to schooling for children in need.

The 2026 Star Singers campaign continues its long-standing mission to raise awareness and funds for disadvantaged children. With Baden-Württemberg’s strong fundraising record and official backing, the initiative seeks to expand its impact. All proceeds will directly fund educational and welfare projects worldwide.
