Stonebwoy and His Wife Turn a Quiet Rice Business Into a Family Brand
Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy and his wife, Dr Louisa Satekla, have quietly built a small business ideas rice business called LILO Rice. The company, based in Aveyime in Ghana’s Volta Region, recently gained wider attention through social media promotions. A new campaign even featured the couple’s wife and daughter to highlight its family-focused branding.
LILO Rice takes its name from the first two letters of Stonebwoy and Louisa’s names. The business operated under the radar until 2022, when online marketing pushed it into the spotlight. Stonebwoy has described the product—LILO Long Grain Perfume Rice—as fully homegrown and packaged in Ghana.
The company’s visibility grew further when Stonebwoy’s Livingstone Foundation included packs of LILO Rice in care packages. These were donated to a talented autistic child as part of the foundation’s philanthropic work. This venture adds another dimension to Stonebwoy’s expanding career beyond music. His portfolio now spans fashion, charity, and agribusiness, with LILO Rice marking his entry into Ghana’s food sector.
The brand’s recent promotional efforts have tied it closely to Stonebwoy’s family, reinforcing its image as a homegrown product. With a factory in Aveyime and a growing public presence, LILO Rice represents the couple’s latest family dollar success. The company’s focus on local production and community support continues to shape its identity.
