Students embark on their initial training at Ural Airlines in the city of Urfa
In Yekaterinburg, Russia, 2025, a strategic partnership between Ural Advanced Engineering School (UPISH UrFU) and Ural Airlines is enhancing practical training for aviation engineering students.
During the past month, four second-year students completed a practical training session at the Aviation Technical Center of Ural Airlines. Under the supervision of a certified engineer, they replaced the air bleed valve and the compressor vane adjustment drive, gaining hands-on experience with airline technologies and maintenance practices.
The partnership allows students to engage directly with operational environments and modern aircraft, bridging theoretical learning and practical application. The students were introduced to some aircraft component maintenance processes, familiarized themselves with the theory, studied the equipment, and practiced removing and installing aircraft aggregates.
This collaboration typically enables students to train on actual aircraft and maintenance equipment used by the airline, facilitates internships or apprenticeships within the airline’s maintenance and engineering departments, and provides exposure to up-to-date airline operational standards and regulatory compliance. It offers opportunities to work on real projects, including troubleshooting and repairs under professional supervision.
As Ural Airlines is a significant Russian carrier and UPISH UrFU is a specialized engineering school, this partnership likely includes these practical benefits, improving both technical skills and employability for students in the aviation engineering field.

The trainees were under the guidance of senior lecturer and aviation training center engineer Yuri Popov. For inquiries regarding news, photos, and videos, contact the news agency at +7 (901) 454-34-42.
