Stuttgart Police Welcomes Record 209 New Officers in Historic Ceremony
The Stuttgart Federal Police Directorate has set a new balance for recruitment. On March 3, 2026, it will swear in 209 news officers—the largest group since its founding. The ceremony will take place in Böblingen, marking a significant expansion of the force.
The new recruits are joining the intermediate enforcement service. This branch handles a range of policing duties, from border security to public order operations. The event in Böblingen will formalise their entry into active duty.
No previous induction ceremony in Baden-Württemberg has seen so many officers sworn in at once. While exact figures for past years remain unclear, this year's intake stands out as the largest in the directorate's history.
The 209 officers will now begin their roles within the Federal Police. Their addition strengthens the workforce in Baden-Württemberg, ensuring more personnel for ongoing operations. The ceremony marks the start of their careers in law enforcement.
