SUST sets voter registration deadline for upcoming student union elections
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has announced key steps for students ahead of the Central Students' Union (CSU) elections. The university registrar has issued a notification detailing registration deadlines and voting eligibility criteria.
Students have until November 18 to register as voters. This deadline is set by the university, which is overseeing the elections through its Central Students' Union. To be eligible to vote, students must settle all fees, including semester fees, course fees, credit fees, and hall-related fees. The university has launched a dedicated menu on its website to manage the elections, offering information on the election commission, constitution, schedule, voter list, candidate list, guidelines, code of conduct, layout of voting booths, and results.
The vice-chancellor of SUST, Professor Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury, is overseeing the CSU elections in his role as president of the Central Students' Union. The university registrar, Syed Salim Mohammad Abdul Kadir, issued the urgent notification on Wednesday noon, outlining these important instructions for students.
SUST students have until November 18 to register as voters for the upcoming CSU elections. Full fee payment is required for voting eligibility.
