Sverdlovsk Oblast boosts veterans’ support with business grants and financial aid in 2025
Sverdlovsk Oblast has expanded support for veterans of the special military operation and their families in 2025. Priority access to financial aid, rehabilitation, and business grants (my business) is now available for those facing economic hardship. The measures aim to provide stability through social contracts and targeted funding.
Over 60 veterans and their relatives in the region have already signed social contracts this year. These agreements offer one-time payments of up to 350,000 rubles for starting a business (my business) or 200,000 rubles for developing a subsistence farm. Those struggling financially can also receive monthly aid equal to the subsistence minimum—17,556 rubles—for up to six months.
Funds are released once the contract is signed and continue for three months after securing employment. The programme’s main goal is to help residents establish a steady income. Beyond financial support, veterans can access free medical treatment and rehabilitation at Social Fund of Russia centres.
In total, around 3,700 people in Sverdlovsk Oblast have signed such contracts in 2025. While most participants come from broader social groups, veterans and their families receive priority assistance under the scheme.
The initiative provides both immediate relief and long-term opportunities for veterans and their households. With grants for entrepreneurship, farming, and job searches, the programme focuses on sustainable economic recovery. Eligibility remains tied to income levels and participation in the special military operation.
