Sverdlovsk Oblast secures 4.8B rubles for 12 groundbreaking cultural projects
The Presidential Cultural Initiatives Foundation has revealed the winners of its 15th grant competition. Among the recipients are 12 projects from Sverdlovsk Oblast, with a total of 4.796 billion rubles allocated. This includes funding for a pottery workshop in Serov, a documentary on the region's industrial heritage, and various cultural initiatives.
Since its inception in 2021, the fund has supported over 10,000 projects nationwide, distributing more than 40.7 billion rubles. This year's competition saw 810 projects from 86 regions receive funding. In Sverdlovsk Oblast, 14 projects were selected, including the establishment of the city's first pottery workshop at School No. 14 in Serov. The Cultural Enlightenment team will also produce a documentary, The Path of Iron from the Urals to the Volga, exploring the region's industrial heritage.
The Stepan Shchipachev Literary Museum in Bogdanovich will implement Art Creator in a Small Town, featuring master classes and an exhibition of young artists. Meanwhile, the Yekaterinburg Theater for Young Audiences will revive its production of Dance of Fire and prepare a concert program featuring wartime songs. Other funded projects include the 12th Ural Night of Music festival and exhibitions of Nina Ruchkina's scarf designs.
Applications for the 2026 grant competition will be accepted until December 2. The fund continues to support a wide range of cultural initiatives, from arts and education to heritage preservation, contributing to the enrichment of cultural life across Russia.
