Sverdlovsk Oblast tightens preschool rules for migrant families
Sverdlovsk Oblast has introduced stricter rules for migrant children entering preschools. The new requirements, which took effect on 23 November, demand more paperwork from parents before their child can enrol in kindergarten. Under the updated regulations, parents must now provide the same documents for kindergarten admission as they would for school enrolment, including proof of legal residence in Russia, an individual taxpayer number (SNILS), and other official paperwork. The new rules align preschool admission with school enrolment standards. Families will need to gather additional documents before their child can start attending a kindergarten in Sverdlovsk Oblast. The measures came into force last month.
