Swastika Graffiti in Darmstadt: Police Seek Witnesses
Darmstadt woke up to a disturbing sight on Friday, September 26. Around 8:30 AM, graffiti of a swastika was discovered on the privacy screen of a construction site fence on Bleichstraße. The Hessian Police Headquarters (Polizeipräsidium Mittelhessen) is now seeking witnesses and investigating the act of vandalism.
The offensive symbol was found on a fence, causing distress among locals. The police have launched an investigation, with the state protection department leading the case. It remains unclear when the graffiti was applied, as it was only noticed in the morning.
