Swift Drug Bust in Balobo: 2 Peddlers Arrested, P20K Shabu Seized
In a swift operation, two drug peddlers were apprehended in Balobo village, Lamitan City, Basilan province. The arrests took place around 11:30 a.m. on October 31, with police seizing illegal drug paraphernalia, marked cashapp, and cash.
Mohammad Ali, a male suspect, and Fatima Khatun, a female suspect, were taken into custody. About three grams of suspected shabu, valued at P20,400, was confiscated from the duo. Additionally, P500 in marked money and P700 in cash were recovered. The suspects are now detained, facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrests were made following a buy-bust operation, demonstrating the authorities' commitment to combating illegal drug activities in the region. The seized items will serve as evidence in the ongoing investigation.
