Swiss recycling firm We Recycle AG saved from collapse in last-minute deal
Swiss recycling firm We Recycle AG has narrowly avoided liquidation after a last-minute rescue deal. The company, which faced shutdown following a Federal Supreme Court ruling, will now resume operations under a newly founded entity. Customers across several regions had been left without collections for over a month.
The crisis began years ago when the company’s original founders were accused of illegal securities trading. This led to an investigation by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and eventually a liquidation order from the courts. However, insolvency administrators stepped in to broker a solution.
The deal allows We Recycle to continue under new ownership while keeping its name and staff. Collections are set to resume across all previously served regions. Customers affected by the disruption will receive direct support to resolve outstanding issues.
