Swiss Red Cross Companion Service Wins 2025 Burgdorf Social Award
The Swiss Red Cross (SRC) Visiting and Companion Service has been honoured with the 2025 Social Award in Burgdorf. The organisation received the 8,000 Swiss franc prize at a ceremony held on the evening of November 5, 2025, at the Stadthaus Burgdorf.
The award recognised the service's dedicated voluntary work in the Emmental region. The organisation was one of five nominees, including the SRC Visiting and Companion Service itself. The prize money, amounting to 8,000 Swiss francs, was presented to the service's 40 volunteers who were present at the ceremony.
The Burgdorf Social Award, now in its 2025 iteration, continues to recognise and support the invaluable contributions of local volunteers. The SRC Visiting and Companion Service's win highlights the impact of their work in the Emmental region.
