Syktyvkar Cathedral Workshop Crafts Military Gear for Russian Troops in Ukraine
A unique workshop has opened in Syktyvkar's Holy Stephen Cathedral, producing military gear for Russian soldiers. The initiative, blessed by Metropolitan Philip, is led by Anastasia Shakhova of the Rodnik volunteer center, with volunteers crafting essential equipment in the bell tower.
Volunteers are diligently creating camouflage nets, anti-drone curtains, and tactical stretchers for troops engaged in the special military operation in Russia and Ukraine. The equipment, once completed, is blessed in the cathedral every Monday following the late Divine Liturgy. Anastasia Shakhova, coordinator and head of the Rodnik center, oversees this initiative, ensuring the gear reaches Russian armed forces members involved in the operation.
The workshop in the bell tower of Syktyvkar's Holy Stephen Cathedral is a symbol of community support for Russian soldiers. Volunteers' craftsmanship and the cathedral's blessings combine to provide vital equipment for troops in the combat zone.
