Syktyvkar’s Disability Employment Program Hits 75% Job Placement Success
A regional employment centre in Syktyvkar has seen a major rise in job placements for people with disabilities. By July 2025, 75% of those seeking help through the Unlimited Employment Resources project had secured work. This marks a sharp increase from 2023, when less than 40% found employment through the same service.
The project focuses on tailored support for job seekers with disabilities. Staff assist during meetings with potential employers, ensuring candidates present their skills effectively. Digital portfolios are also created to highlight each person’s strengths and areas where they may need adjustments.
The Unlimited Employment Resources project has more than doubled job success rates for participants in just two years. With 75% of supported candidates now employed, the model demonstrates how targeted assistance can break down barriers. The centre continues to refine its methods while advocating for wider recognition of disabled workers’ capabilities.
