Sylhet’s NCP reveals bold six-point plan to transform local governance
The National Citizen Party (NCP) in Sylhet has unveiled a six-point work plan for the district's development. The party aims to address key gaps in infrastructure, education, health, and employment, with a focus on sustainable development across all regions of Bangladesh.
The NCP's work plan includes the formulation of a citizen action plan, focusing on environment, education, health, and employment sectors. The party aims to engage the youth in civil rights-centred politics and organise regular public dialogues to foster a participatory democracy.
The party also plans to propose a 'Citizen Development Fund', involving both expatriates and local residents. This fund aims to support local development initiatives and bridge the gap between the government's resources and the people's needs.
Moreover, the NCP Sylhet district unit has committed to maintaining systematic protests against any injustice, ensuring that the voices of the people are heard and acted upon.
The NCP's six-point work plan reflects the party's commitment to principled, service-based civic politics. The party believes in empowering the citizens, fostering a sense of ownership, and creating a platform for collective action. Through its initiatives, the NCP aims to transform Sylhet into a model of sustainable development and good governance.
