Talsi's Annual May 4th Parade in Full Swing
The city of Riga is set to host an exciting military parade on a forthcoming morning. The event, scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m., will involve units and equipment from the Latvian and foreign armed forces, promising a spectacle for the general public.
The parade route will commence from Fabrikas Street, leading partway along Liela Street, then turning onto Brīvības Street. The route will continue along this bustling thoroughfare to the CSDD parking lot, before moving on to Raina and Rīgas Streets, and finally ending at the Talsi motor transport parking lot.
A number of foreign military units will participate in the flyover, including the United States Army with both CH-47 Chinook and Black Hawk helicopters, the Canadian Armed Forces with the CH-146, and the United States National Armed Forces with another Black Hawk helicopter. The Polish Air Force will also contribute with F-16 fighters, and the Latvian State Border Guard will participate with A-119 and A-109 aircraft.
Two United States Apache attack helicopters are also expected to attend the flyover, while the Latvian Air Force will put on a show with their AN-2 aircraft, creating a red-white-red smoke trail in the sky. At the beginning of the parade, a 21-gun salute will be fired, adding an extra touch of pomp and ceremony.
For those unable to attend the event in person, live coverage will be provided by Latvian Television, ensuring that viewers from across the country can enjoy the spectacle from the comfort of their homes. However, the search results do not provide information on the commanders of the foreign military units involved in the military apparatus in Riga.
This promises to be a memorable event, showcasing the strength and unity of the armed forces, both domestically and internationally. Be sure to mark your calendars for this exciting occasion!
