Taxi on Fire - Straße des 17. Juni Closed - Taxi Catches Fire in Berlin's Tiergarten, Street Temporarily Closed
A taxi spontaneously caught fire on Saturday night in Berlin's Tiergarten district, on Straße des 17. Juni. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
The taxi driver, whose name has not been disclosed, was alerted to the fire by another motorist who noticed smoke rising from the engine compartment. Firefighters swiftly responded, extinguishing the blaze which was confined to the engine area. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and the street was temporarily closed to traffic during the emergency response.
The fire, which occurred on Saturday evening, did not result in any injuries. The cause is still under investigation, and the taxi driver's identity has not been revealed. Straße des 17. Juni has since reopened to traffic.
