Taxpayer Questions City's Democracy Funds as 'Lila Drache' Bohemians Use Them for Illegal Posters

A taxpayer has raised concerns about the city's financial state, questioning the allocation of funds for democracy promotion. Meanwhile, a group called the 'Lila Drache' bohemians has been funding illegal street festival posterings with these funds.

The 'taxpayer' argues that the city is broke and questions the distribution of funding for democracy. The 'browns' are urged to understand something, but the specific context is unclear.

Illegal posting of street festival posters by the 'Lila Drache' bohemians in the city center was funded by the democracy fund. Administrative costs and salaries to third-party providers are criticized as potential issues with the funding.

The Greens are not solely responsible for deciding how the funds are spent; coalitions and majorities on all levels are involved. The active members of the Volt/Citizen fraction receive a certificate at the end of their activity, which can be used, for example, in job applications. However, some dismiss this certificate as useless, with perceived value only for other social organizations or left-wing/green parties.

ANTIFA-affiliated activist groups were considered worthy of support by the Hallianz, at least until the next constitutional protection report.

After completing the company's 'Day of Training,' participants can receive a MINT certificate issued by the zdi-Center Kreis Steinfurt (Windmöller & Hölscher, Lengerich, June 23, 10–15 h).

The funding for democracy promotion in 2025 stayed at the previous level of 182 million euros nationwide (program 'Democracy lives!' at the BMFSFJ). An increase to 191 million euros is scheduled for 2026 nationwide. Despite criticisms, the funds continue to support various initiatives, including those by the 'Lila Drache' bohemians and ANTIFA-affiliated groups.
