Tbilisi's Housing Project for Displaced Families Nears Completion
A significant milestone is approaching in Tbilisi's complex housing management project for internally displaced families. The first phase, covering four residential buildings, is nearing completion and will provide homes for over 900 families. The entire project, set to be finished by spring 2026, will consist of 11 apartment buildings, housing 2,426 displaced families.
The project, located on Tvalchrelidze Street, is a joint effort between the local government and international organisations, along with NGOs. The total budget stands at GEL 243.6 million, with GEL 11.8 million earmarked for external infrastructure works. Beneficiary families are chosen through a process involving national housing legislation and the Displacement Issues Commission.
The project's completion will mark a substantial step towards addressing the housing needs of internally displaced families in Tbilisi.
With the first phase nearing completion and the entire project slated for occupancy by spring 2026, the housing project on Tvalchrelidze Street is set to provide much-needed homes for over 2,400 displaced families in Tbilisi.
