Knife Stabbings During Argument in Flensburg - 17-Year-Old Injured - Teen brawl in Flensburg leaves 17-year-old with stab wounds after chaotic clashes
A violent clash among teenagers in Flensburg left a 17-year-old with serious stab wounds on Monday afternoon. The incident, involving around 30 people, escalated in a city-centre parking garage before spreading to nearby areas. Police are now investigating multiple reports of assaults, including the use of weapons like knives and knuckle dusters.
The altercation began in the early afternoon when a group of young people gathered in the parking garage near Flensburg's city centre. Witnesses described chaotic scenes as fights broke out, with some participants allegedly armed with knives. A 17-year-old boy suffered deep lacerations to his forearms and required emergency surgery. He has since been released from hospital.
Before officers arrived, many of those involved fled the scene. Police, including federal and state units, responded with multiple patrol cars to restore order. Witnesses later reported at least one additional fight near the bus station, where a knuckle duster was allegedly used. Five individuals were briefly detained for questioning. Authorities have since collected witness statements and are following leads on potential suspects. The incident comes as police statistics show a 15% rise in youth-related crime in Flensburg between 2021 and 2025, contrasting with stable or declining figures in Kiel and Lübeck.
The injured teen has been discharged, but police continue to investigate the violent clashes. Anyone with information about the incident has been urged to contact authorities. The case remains under active review as officers work to identify those responsible.
