A violent clash between teenagers in Neubrandenburg left two minors injured on Friday evening. The incident, which took place in Turmstraße at around 8:40 pm, is now under police investigation as a case of aggravated assault.
Three youths—a 16-year-old and two others—have been identified as suspects in the attack. The victims included a 15-year-old boy and his 15-year-old girlfriend, who both suffered injuries during the altercation.
The trouble began when the 15-year-old boy and his girlfriend became involved in a dispute with the three suspects. At some point, the boy was punched, leaving him with minor injuries.
When his girlfriend tried to step in, she was struck twice in the face. The couple attempted to flee but were caught and beaten again before bystanders intervened. Police arrived shortly after and launched an investigation. The suspects, all minors, were identified, and charges of dangerous bodily harm have been filed. The exact motive for the attack remains unclear as inquiries continue.
Both injured teenagers received medical treatment for their wounds. Authorities have confirmed that the case is being treated as aggravated assault due to the severity of the violence.
The investigation is ongoing, with police gathering witness statements and reviewing evidence from the scene.
