16-Year-Old Drives Without a License - Car Overturns - Teen crashes grandfather's car in unauthorised joyride, injuring three
A 16-year-old student took his grandfather's car for an unauthorised joyride early on Sunday morning. The vehicle crashed near Aresing in Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, leaving three teenagers injured. Police confirmed the driver had no licence and had never taken a lesson.
The incident happened just before the entrance to Aresing. The Volkswagen Golf veered off the road, rolled over, and landed in a nearby field. Investigators have not yet determined why the driver lost control.
All three passengers escaped the wreckage on their own. However, the driver remained at the scene with serious injuries, while the other two wandered away. One passenger suffered severe harm, and the second had minor injuries. Authorities tested the driver for alcohol and drugs, but results were negative. The estimated damage to the car stands at around €5,000.
The teenager now faces multiple charges, including driving without a licence, endangering road traffic, and negligent bodily harm. The legal process will determine the consequences of his actions. No further details on public reaction or local media coverage have been reported.
