Teen critically wounded in late-night knife attack near Nieder-Roden
An 18-year-old was seriously injured in a knife attack in Nieder-Roden early Saturday. The incident happened around 1:20 am, and the suspect remains at large. Police are treating the case as attempted homicide and have launched a manhunt for the attacker.
The victim was walking with two companions when they encountered three unknown individuals. An altercation broke out, and the suspect—a 21-year-old man—allegedly slashed the victim’s neck with a knife. The attacker then lunged at the victim’s two friends but failed to injure them.
The suspect fled the scene with his two still-unidentified accomplices. Emergency services rushed the injured 18-year-old to hospital for treatment. Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the confrontation or the exact sequence of events.
