Three people injured in collision on B175 - Teen Driver Causes Serious Crash on B175 After Speeding Drunk
A serious crash on the B175 near Rochlitz left three people injured on December 26, 2025. A 19-year-old novice driver, traveling too fast and under the influence, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a van. Police are now investigating the incident as a case of dangerous driving and negligence.
The accident happened when the young driver lost control of their vehicle on the B175. Speeding and a blood alcohol level of 0.22 per mille caused them to swerve into the opposite lane. The car struck a small transporter, injuring the 19-year-old driver, a 54-year-old van driver, and a 16-year-old passenger.
Emergency services closed the road in both directions while they cleared the wreckage. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed away. The estimated cost of the property damage reached €21,500. Authorities in Mittelsachsen have launched an investigation. The driver now faces charges for endangering road traffic and causing negligent bodily harm.
The crash resulted in three injuries and significant property damage. The 19-year-old driver remains under investigation for driving under the influence and reckless behaviour. Police have not yet released further details on the condition of those injured.
