An 18-year-old driver fled from police during a routine traffic inspection in Solingen. The chase ended violently when the car smashed into a residential wall at high speed. Emergency crews rushed to free the trapped driver, who suffered severe injuries.
The incident began when officers attempted to stop the young motorist for a traffic check-up. Instead of complying, the driver accelerated away, ignoring signals to pull over. Moments later, the vehicle overtook two cars and ran through multiple traffic signs before losing control.
The crash has left a residential property damaged and the driver hospitalised. Investigators will determine whether charges will follow for dangerous driving and evading police. The case now rests with Solingen’s police and prosecutors.
