Teen girl identified after photo booth vandalism at Bielefeld station
A photo booth at Bielefeld Central Station was vandalised on Friday evening (December 5). The unknown individual smashed parts of the equipment before fleeing the scene. Police have now launched a criminal investigation to track down those responsible.
The individual caused significant damage by breaking the glass lighting panel and the protective cover of the camera. Two women helped by shielding the booth from view and pulling the curtain shut.
Federal police later recovered security images showing three individuals involved. By Sunday, officers had identified one of them—a 13-year-old Danish girl reported missing in Aachen. The search for the remaining individual and the second woman continues.
The full extent of the damage is still being assessed as part of the ongoing inquiry.
Authorities are reviewing the evidence to locate the outstanding individuals. The criminal investigation remains active, with police urging anyone with information to come forward. The case highlights the challenges of tracking down individuals involved in public vandalism.
