19-Year-Old Tries to Help Young Woman - and Gets Attacked - Teen hero attacked after defending girl in Greifswald assault
A 19-year-old man was attacked in Greifswald early on Sunday after stepping in to help a 15-year-old girl. The assault involved two boys, aged 13 and 14, who used a baton and animal repellent spray. Both suspects were later apprehended near the scene.
The incident took place around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday. The victim, a 19-year-old, tried to assist a teenage girl before being targeted by the attackers. The two suspects fled immediately after the assault.
Police quickly located the boys close to where the attack happened. Officers seized the baton and spray used in the assault. Authorities have since filed charges of grievous bodily harm against both suspects.
The 19-year-old suffered minor injuries during the attack. His condition was assessed but did not require hospital treatment.
The two suspects now face legal proceedings following the charges. The investigation continues, though police have not disclosed how they tracked the boys after the crime. The victim's injuries were confirmed as non-serious.
