Teen Hit by Car in Neukölln; Driver Flees Scene
A teenager was struck by a car while crossing a pedestrian crossing in Neukölln yesterday afternoon. The driver of the dark car fled the scene without assisting the injured youth, who was later admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.
The accident occurred around 4 PM on Silbersteinstraße. The 15-year-old boy was crossing the pedestrian crossing when he was hit by the unknown driver. Despite his injuries, the teenager initially went home before being taken to the hospital by his mother. He was admitted with pain, a head wound, and a suspected skull fracture.
The driver of the dark car failed to stop and provide assistance, leaving the scene without fulfilling their legal duty. The investigation into the incident is being handled by a specialized unit of the Direction 5 (City).
The identity of the driver involved in the hit-and-run remains unknown. The investigation continues, and anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities. The teenager's condition is stable, but he faces a prolonged recovery.
