Teen Injured in Violent Robbery After Pepper Spray Attack in Mühlheim
Police in Mühlheim am Main are investigating two young adults after a violent robbery left a 15-year-old injured. The incident began with an emergency call at around 6:30 p.m. reporting a shooting and a request for medical help. The victim was attacked with a pepper spray gun before his sports bag was stolen.
The confrontation started as a physical altercation between three individuals. One suspect sprayed the teenager's face at point-blank range with a pepper spray gun. The 15-year-old fled to a nearby youth centre to rinse his eyes, leaving his sports bag behind.
The two suspects then escaped on an uninsured moped, driven by a 20-year-old without a licence. After returning to the scene, they took the victim's sports bag before fleeing again. The teenager received brief medical treatment for his injuries. Later, the 20-year-old suspect turned himself in at a police station. Officers recovered a blank-firing gun from his home. Authorities also located and returned the stolen sports bag to the victim. German law typically requires uninsured mopeds to be seized or immobilised. Drivers face fines starting at €40–70, penalty points in Flensburg, and potential criminal charges under the Compulsory Insurance Act—especially when linked to other offences.
The investigation into robbery and grievous bodily harm remains ongoing. Police have recovered key evidence, including the weapon and the victim's belongings. The suspects now face possible charges for their involvement in the attack.
