Teen mob stabs good Samaritan in Bremen after breaking up fight
A 20-year-old man was stabbed in Bremen’s Bahnhofsvorstadt district after intervening in a fight. The attack happened early Saturday morning near a nightclub and a snack bar on Philosophenweg. His injuries were not life-threatening, but he required treatment at a nearby general hospital.
The incident began just before 12:50 a.m. when the victim attempted to break up a dispute. In response, a group of eight to ten attackers, estimated to be aged 16 to 18, turned on him. They punched him in the face and stabbed him in the thigh before fleeing toward Herdentorsteinweg.
Police quickly arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area to preserve evidence. Officers collected forensic material and started interviewing witnesses. Despite their efforts, no specific suspects have yet been identified. The investigation remains active, with authorities reviewing all available leads. The victim’s condition was stabilised, and he was taken to the nearest general hospital for further care.
The attack left the man with non-fatal wounds, though police continue to search for those responsible. The crime scene has been processed, and witness statements are being examined. Authorities have not released further details about potential motives or arrests.
