A 15-year-old boy died last Wednesday after a violent confrontation in Eckernförde's Sauersgang district. The incident began outside a supermarket around 8:45 p.m., with the victim later found severely injured nearly two miles away. The Kiel Public Prosecutor's Office has offered a €5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. While the Sauersgang area was briefly designated a 'control zone' in 2022 due to a rise in offences, officials state there is no current pattern of crime in the district. This killing appears to be an isolated case.
