Tej Pratap Yadav files complaint after receiving death threats from party members

Tej Pratap Yadav, former Bihar minister and Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief, has filed a police complaint over death threats. He has also demanded an investigation into claims about a hidden basement at his mother Rabri Devi’s official residence. The allegations involve multiple individuals, including a former party spokesperson and a party member now expelled for similar threats.

Yadav first reported threats from Santosh Renu Yadav, a former JJD national spokesperson. He accused her of issuing death threats via live social media videos and lodged an FIR at Sachivalaya police station. Beyond threats, he claimed she was extorting money and acting against the party’s principles.

Separately, Yadav sought government protection, stating his life was in danger. His request followed threats from Ajay Singh, a party member who allegedly made direct death threats. Singh was promptly expelled from JJD after the incident. In addition to the threats, Yadav has called for an official probe into reports of an undisclosed basement at Rabri Devi’s residence. The former chief minister’s property has faced scrutiny, though no further details on the basement claim have been released.

The FIR against Santosh Renu Yadav remains under police review, while Ajay Singh’s expulsion from JJD stands. Yadav’s demand for protection and the basement investigation are now pending responses from the Bihar government and relevant authorities. The outcome of these cases could impact both his political standing and the party’s internal dynamics.
