Tennessee’s 7th District Race Too Close to Call as Early Voting Surges

A tight race is unfolding in Tennessee’s 7th District, where Democrat Aftyn Behn and Republican Matt Van Epps are competing for the congressional seat left open by former U.S. Rep. Mark Green. A new poll reveals a near-even split, with Van Epps at 48% support and Behn close behind at 46%.

The contest has drawn heavy investment, as both parties have spent millions to sway voters. So far, 74,694 people have already cast their ballots in early voting.

The race remains too close to call, with both candidates locked in a narrow battle for the 7th District. The outcome will hinge on turnout among key demographics, particularly younger and older voters, as well as those casting ballots early versus on Election Day.
