Thieves ransack Schwanheim gas station in early-morning cigarette heist
A gas station near me in Schwanheim, Bensheim, was broken into early on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Thieves forced their way inside and stole thousands of euros worth of cigarettes. The incident left the business with significant damage. The burglary took place at a station on Am Junkergarten. The perpetrators broke through the front door to gain entry. Once inside, they focused on stealing cartons of cigarettes. The group worked quickly, gathering as many cartons as possible before fleeing. Their actions caused damages running into several thousand euros. Authorities have not yet released any names linked to the crime. The gas station now faces costly repairs and lost stock. Police continue to investigate the break-in. No arrests have been reported so far.
