Three African migrants caught illegally crossing German border near Görlitz
Federal police in Görlitz discovered three African men attempting to illegally cross the border near the railway viaduct on Tuesday evening. The men, aged 22, 23, and 26, initially claimed to be from Sudan but had no identification. It was later revealed that only one was Sudanese, while the others were from Chad.
The men confessed that an unknown smuggler had transported them to the viaduct by car from the Polish side. Despite the smuggler's identity remaining undisclosed, the men managed to cross the border using the bridge. They were subsequently returned to Poland following their discovery. This incident highlights the ongoing issue of illegal border crossings and the role of smugglers in facilitating such attempts.
The three men, now back in Poland, had hoped to enter Germany undetected. Their attempt, however, was thwarted by the vigilance of federal police. The incident serves as a reminder of the complex challenges faced by border control authorities in preventing illegal crossings.
