Three injured in dramatic Wiesbaden crash after driver trapped in car
A serious three-car collision took place at the intersection of Kurt-Schumacher-Ring and Klarenthaler Straße in Wiesbaden on Monday evening. Emergency services rushed to the scene, including the city's professional fire brigade, four ambulances, and an emergency physician team. The crash left three people injured, with one driver trapped inside their vehicle. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to free the seriously injured individual. Two others in a second car suffered minor injuries and were also taken to nearby hospitals.
Fluids leaking from one of the damaged vehicles were quickly contained by the fire crew. A third car involved in the collision received only minor damage, and its driver escaped unharmed. The intersection remained completely closed while rescue operations took place. The medical incident command team coordinated the response alongside other emergency personnel.
All three injured individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The intersection reopened once the scene was cleared and the hazards addressed. Authorities have not yet released further details on the cause of the collision.
