Rostock: Three AfD MPs Leave Faction and Party - Three Rostock AfD lawmakers quit party amid internal conflicts
Three lawmakers from Rostock’s AfD faction have resigned from the party and its parliamentary group. Tilmann Lamberg, Nils-Ole Rosengart, and Sven Sydow stepped down after months of internal disputes. All three will remain in the city parliament as independents.
The resignations come after prolonged tensions within the AfD faction. Despite the departures, the group retains its official status, as it still meets the minimum requirement of four members. Before this move, the faction had nine lawmakers—now reduced to six.
Tilmann Lamberg, the former leader of the AfD faction, was among those who left. The three politicians have not joined another party but will continue their work without AfD affiliation.
The AfD faction in Rostock now operates with fewer members but keeps its parliamentary group intact. The three former members will serve out their terms as independents. Their departure follows a period of reported conflict within the party.
