Art Meets Cannabis: Exhibition on Intoxication and Reality - Thuringia's Health Minister Opens 'Only Good Vibes?' Cannabis Exhibition
Thuringia's Health Minister, Katharina Schenk, will open an intriguing exhibition this Thursday at Erfurt's Defensionskaserne. Titled 'Only Good Vibes? Cannabis, Intoxication, and Reality', the event is the third by the Foundation World of Temptations and aims to provide a balanced perspective on cannabis use.
The exhibition, running until January 18, will delve into the societal attitudes towards cannabis, nicotine, and alcohol. Minister Schenk, who will speak at the opening, has emphasized the need for open discussions about cannabis use. She pointed to the consistent statistics demonstrating the risks of addiction, a topic that the exhibition will explore.
Schenk, a member of the SPD, has welcomed the shift in approach to cannabis use discussions. She has been involved in Germany's pending evaluation process of its partial cannabis legalization law, with an interim report expected by April 2026 and a final assessment due by April 2028.
The 'Only Good Vibes?' exhibition promises to educate visitors about the effects of cannabis on the brain and body, separating myth from fact about the hemp plant. With Minister Schenk's involvement, it is expected to spark meaningful discussions about cannabis use and its implications in society.
