Voigt for Revival of Weimar Triangle - Thuringia’s Leader Seeks to Revive the Weimar Triangle Alliance
Thuringia’s Minister-President, Mario Voigt, is pushing to revive the Weimar Triangle—an initiative linking Germany, France, and Poland. He has criticised the lack of recent meetings in his region and now wants to bring the partnership back to Thuringia.
The Weimar Triangle was designed to strengthen ties between the three countries. But Voigt has noted that Thuringia has rarely hosted its gatherings. He aims to change this by organising future talks in the state.
If successful, the revived initiative could place Thuringia at the centre of cross-border dialogue once more. Voigt’s efforts signal a renewed commitment to the partnership between Germany, France, and Poland.
