Tourist, 24, Injured in Berlin E-Scooter Accident
A 24-year-old tourist was injured in a solo e-scooter accident in Berlin-Mitte late last night. The man, whose name has not been released, suffered a leg fracture after striking a curb while attempting to cross the street around midnight. The incident occurred as the tourist was traveling along Torstraße from Rosenthaler Platz toward Schönhauser Allee. Paramedics were called to the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. At the hospital, a breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of nearly 0.2%. A blood sample was also taken for further investigation. The case has been referred to the traffic offenses unit of Police Directorate 5 for further investigation. The man's condition is currently unknown. No further details about the accident have been released. The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident and any potential charges.
