Toyota Alphard Impounded: Driver Charged for DUI in Major Traffic Crackdown

In a recent crackdown on traffic violations, authorities impounded a Toyota Alphard on the Yekaterinburg–Almaty highway. The driver was found to be under the influence of illicit substances, leading to administrative charges and penalties.

The nationwide operation, involving over 400 personnel from Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, targeted drivers suspected of driving under the influence. The driver of the Toyota Alphard was stopped due to suspected drug intoxication. A test confirmed the presence of illicit substances in their system.

The driver was subsequently charged under Article 608, Part 1 for driving under the influence and Article 463, Part 1 for engaging in business activities without the required registration or permit. Penalties for such violations include revocation of driving privileges, administrative arrest, and fines. The driver's vehicle was also impounded.

The large-scale traffic control operation highlights the commitment of authorities to ensure road safety. Drivers are reminded to adhere to traffic regulations and avoid driving under the influence of illicit substances. The impounded vehicle and charges against the driver serve as a stern warning to others.
